  1. DLA For Windows 3.x
  2. ───────────────────
  3.         The DLA For Windows converts your PC into a full functioning 
  4. Hardware Logic Analyser. It was designed to provide a cheap and effect 
  5. way of analysing digital electronic circuits using the standard IBM PC.
  6.  
  7.  It has a maximum internal sample rate of 6.00 MHz (external 10MHz),
  8. 8 input channels, fully programmable trigger on any combination of 4 
  9. input channels, voltage over protection on all inputs makes it suitable for
  10. RS232 and other higher voltage environments. It is ideal for anyone 
  11. interested in digital electronics.

  13. The shareware distribution of DLA includes the following:
  14.     o full featured DLA For Windows 3.X software
  15.     o online help containing user instructions
  16.     o schematic diagrams of the hardware in postscript file format.

  18. The kit version of DLA includes the following:
  19.     o full featured DLA For Windows 3.X software
  20.     o online help containing user instructions
  21.     o schematic diagrams in paper format
  22.     o all printed circuit boards needed for the hardware
  23.     o some of the hard to get electronic components
  24.     o extra instructions on how to build the hardware
  25.  
  26.         This package requires both a software and hardware component and
  27. as such is only suitable for people with knowledge in electronics and 
  28. experience in the construction of electronic kits. The hardware component 
  29. is fully documented in the schematic diagrams provided. These files are 
  30. the postscript files for a HP Laserjet III printer. To print them you will
  31. need a postscript printer and then from the command line just use the 
  32. PRINT command (ie PRINT DLA1.EPS).

  34.         As mentioned earlier this is an electronics project, requiring that 
  35. some hardware be built. You can build the hardware from the schematic 
  36. diagrams using wire wrap techniques or by producing your own PCB's. 
  37. Alternatively it is possible it is possible to purchase the PCB's ready made.

  40. you install the software and with the software running press F1 key to get

  67.         DLA For Windows is a copyrighted program protected by international
  68. copyright law.  You are authorised to use it without charge for a limited
  69. period of time under the terms of the Xidicone Pty Ltd license agreement.
  70. After this time, you must register and pay for DLA For Windows if you wish
  71. to continue using it. This method of distribution is known as shareware. 
  72. It allows you to determine whether DLA For Windows meets your needs before
  73. you pay for it.

  85.         DLA For Windows 3.x is a shareware product; before using it you must
  86. read the license agreement (license.txt). To register refer to the online 
  87. help (press F1) titled 'Ordering the Product' or alternatively fill in the
  88. details in the order form below.

  91. Installation Procedures 
  92. ───────────────────────
  93.         There are several ways you can install the software. Each of the 
  94. doifferent methods is listed below. The recommended method is method number 1
  95. but all 4 will work:
  96.  
  97. 1) Hardisk Install
  98.         Unzip the DLAV12.ZIP into a temporary directory. Start windows and change
  99. to the temporary directory using the File Manager. Then run the SETUP.EXE by
  100. double clicking on the item within File Manager.
  101.  
  102. 2) 720kByte, 1.2 or 1.44 MByte Floppy Install
  103.         To install the software requires a blank 720 kByte or 1.2 or 1.44
  104. MByte floppy disk. First expand the contents of the ZIP file to a temporary
  105. directory. Once expanded, change to the temporary directory and run the 
  106. MAKEDISK.BAT batch file. This file will copy the required install files
  107. to the floppy disk. Then, from within Windows use the File Run menu option
  108. to start the A:\SETUP.EXE program. This program will install the software,
  109. create a windows program group and program item.

  111. 3) 1.44 or 1.2 MByte Floppy Install
  112.         You can expand the contents of DLAV12.ZIP directly to a 1.2 or 1.44 MByte
  113. floppy disk. Once this is done just run the A:\SETUP.EXE from that floppy as 
  114. outlined above.

  116. 4) Last resort.
  117.         Expand all the files manually to the loction you want the software
  118. to be installed. Then manually create the program icon and group and our done.
